In 1976, after battling with blatant sexism within the monastic order, British born Tenzin Palmo isolated herself in a remote Himalayan cave engaging in twelve years of Buddhist meditation. She faced unimaginable cold, wild animals, near-starvation and avalanches. Her goal was to gain enlightenment as a woman.

Nice documentary. Besides that she did something many might envy, to leave everything and follow the heart and mind. Many people, especially in the western world live all their lives in a struggle towards the western materialism society, there are many people who are afraid to follow their real wishes and paths in life. This documentary tells about a woman who followed her heart and did what she wanted and was supposed to do. The documentary also tells about her path towards to become a buddhist teacher and a nun. If she is recognized as such today even though she is a woman and a westerner? You will have to find that out by your self. Watch the documentary. If you are slightly inerested in buddhist religion, i recommend this.
