Decoding Dyslexia takes a fresh look at the problems faced by children with dyslexia. Having examined the physical causes of dyslexia and the difficulties it causes children affected by it, this academic yet upbeat film goes on to discuss ways in which these difficulties can be overcome and to ask if we are right to view dyslexia as a disability. Freed from the blinkers of the traditional, largely verbal ways of thinking, are people with dyslexia able to approach the world in a more creative and productive way?

Very interesting documentary. I like it. Most people are ignorant when it comes to dyslexia. I also have dyslexia. I am now 37, I was 21 when I got the diagnose dyslexia. I went thru 1-9 grade school and I was labeled as stupid and lazy. People who doesnt have dyslexia have not a clue how it's really like having dyslexia.

This documentary focuses more on dyslexia in New Zealand where they apparently live in stone age regarding the issue. Regardless of that it is an OK source of basic understanding of what the effects of the difficulty are and what different manifestations there are.
