Radio Ranch

Gene Autry plays a singing cowboy of the same name, who runs Radio Ranch, a dude ranch from which he makes a daily live radio broadcast at 2pm. This is a "modern" cowboy story, with planes and such. Gene has two kid sidekicks, Frankie Darro and Betsy King Ross, who lead a club, the "Junior Thunder Riders," in which the kids play at being armoured knights of an unknown civilization, the mysterious Thunder Riders who make a sound like thunder when they ride. The kids, dressing up in capes and water-bucket helmets, play at riding "to the rescue!"

I guess this was probably fascinating in 1935, just preceding Flash Gordon on the silver screen. And it's just like that, this is sort of Flash Gordon with a cowboy theme twist!
This will most likely fit the younger audience with a desire for something adventurous on a horse back, galloping through valleys and over hills.
But for most it will only be tedious and boring, the story and acting is quite ridiculous and so is also the sound.
The only interesting part is how they tried to make things looking "futuristic and advanced", but the should have dropped the horses then. :)
I gave this a fair 2 star rating.
