Two young soldiers leave thier post at checkpoint 83 in northern Värmland and takes off into the winter night, heading towards the nazi-occupied norweigan border. They want to see the new enemy everyone is talking about, but the expedition ends up in a terrible way. Lieutanant Aron Stenström hears the next day that his brother has been captured on the other side of the border, and thereby sets out a team to rescue the two men, and before they know it they are trapped in a fight they didn't expect.
