About the show

Based on Jules Verne’s classic about 19th century aristocrat Phileas Fogg’s bet that he can circumnavigate the earth in a mere 80 days – and vows to leave that very night, taking only some necessary cash in a carpet bag and his newly-hired manservant, Jean Passepartout. Can it be mere coincidence that 55,000 English pounds is missing from the Bank of England? The Bank’s directors don’t think so, and have private detective Mr. Fix to bring in the most likely suspect: a man leaving the country with an unusually large quantity of money. Filmed on location in England, Macao, Hong Kong, Thailand and Yugoslavia.
